This position is for the 2025-2026 school year calendar (30 hours per week), with some summer hours required.
General Description:
The Playgroup Facilitator & On-Site Coordinator will coordinate all family support services, including support groups, educational opportunities, and workshops that strengthen families across multiple domains. This role includes facilitating both at-risk and specialized playgroups, encouraging parent participation, and modeling effective interaction and behavior management strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing weekly curriculum plans for playgroups Administering pre- and post-surveys to families at the start and end of each session Supporting families with the Ages and Stages Questionnaire Preparing and organizing materials for each group Collaborating with off-site partners to ensure playgroup spaces are developmentally appropriate The coordinator will also implement all EEC initiatives involving families, plan and host four community meetings, support Ages and Stages data collection, and submit monthly data and quarterly impact reports.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or documented training in Early Childhood Education or related field Knowledge/experience in curriculum development Knowledge/experience in classroom management in an early childhood setting Knowledge/experience in public and private preschool programs Knowledge/experience with center-based and family child care programs Background/knowledge of early literacy Experience working with families of young children (ages 0-6) Sensitivity to children at different developmental levels Sensitivity to cultural diversity Ability to maintain confidentiality
Bilingual Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
