Community Engagement Director Description:

We are seeking a Community Engagement Director to work closely with the Executive Director (ED) to co-create and implement the strategy for ourmunity engagement program. They would support the teachers and partner sites in sustaining and developing long term relationships to continue providing sliding scale adaptive dance education to diverse populations across greater Boston. They would also support in building new partnerships with one time workshops or year round partners to continue expanding our programming. Recruit, train, and manage a team of teachers, volunteers, and programming coordinator Create hybrid systems of check ins with teachers and partner sites to ensure that ADB curriculum goals are being met to assess the overall success of both teacher and partners Create contracts and monitor payments/funding for partner sites with ED Works with ED to coordinate messaging and materials to reinforce the ADB brand in marketing Update curriculum as needed with each teacher to ensure that various students’ amodations are being met Point of contact for teachers/partner sites (with support ofmunity engagement coordinator) to handle any last minute substitutions, changes in programming, and other adaptations as needed Supervise coordinator in managing logistics of the program as well as seasonal volunteers/interns to support classes and other activities Collect data to ensure the growth via Salesforce, Excel, and other means for reporting purposes and to improve program design and implementation Represent theanization atmunity events and networking opportunities as requested by ED to continue amplifying the program

Qualifications:

Must have 5 years teaching ballet/modern/contemporary technique with willingness to learn adaptive dance practice. Adaptive dance experience is a plus but not required. Must have supervisory experience Able to be independent worker in remote settings and collaborate with team members as needed in virtual or in person settings to continue monitoring the program Strongmunication skills to handle good and challenging conversations with teachers, partner sites, and the administrative team Stronganizational skills and leadership skills to manage multiple sites and lead a team simultaneously Commitment to building intersectional disability justice practices through their role Salesforce experience appreciated but not required Must pass CORI check Comply with our current COVID protocols of masking in person

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The demands of the position change on a daily basis but often require sitting at a desk and working on aputer. The position will include periods of driving to off-site meetings, and a personal vehicle is strongly rmended. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires extended hours and occasional evening and weekend work, with flexible hours to ensure balance in overall capacity. Amodations to these physical demands and work environment can be made as long as the person in the position stillpletes the essential functions of the job.
