The YMCA is seeking an engaging, enthusiastic, and nurturing group leader to join our team. This position plays a key role in providing a safe and enriching environment for school aged children to learn, grow, and explore. As a group leader, aiding in the overall operation of high-quality early learning, responsibilities will include promoting YMCA core values and encourage lifelong learning. We are willing to train new group leaders and gain experience alongside our highly trained teachers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning, organizing, and implementing activities (e.g., games, arts and crafts, storytelling) and overall engagement with the children. Ensure the safety and well-being of the students and maintain a clean and developmentally appropriate environment. Foster positive relationships with children and their families through effective communication and collaboration. Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development by encouraging positive relationships and participation in developmentally appropriate activities. Observe and document children’s progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to the Site Coordinator or childcare management. Assists in providing reasonable accommodations to allow children with disabilities to participate in activities.
