School Performance Coordinator Description:
Urbanity Dance seeks a part-time School Performance Coordinator to join our School’s administrative team. Working closely with the School Director and Urbanity’s students, the School Performance Coordinator will coordinate between three to four annual performances for seven performing groups, three Contemporary youthpanies, three youth Hip Hop Dance crews, and one adult Hip Hop Dance crew. The successful candidate will aspire to achieve excellence in the management of 50-60 student performers, artistic and administrative collaboration with the School Director, and execution of creative performances. Brainstorming creative, engaging performances for Urbanity’s studentpanies and crews Engaging with the Boston dance to bringmunity performances to life Organizing auditions for performing groups and assisting with registration as needed Collaborating with School Director on pre-production of each performance Interact with students and faculty in an enthusiastic and positive manner Serving as the leadmunicator for P/G (parent/guardians) about performances Jump into supporting tasks across departments while keeping a team player mindset (e.g. taking front desk shifts when necessary)
Schedule:
This is a part-time position, 3 hours/week. Work is primarily in-person with regular in-personmitments each week. Some hybrid work may be discussed with the position supervisor if necessary. Actively engaging in Urbanity’smunity first hand is a priority.
Salary:
$25/hour

Administrative and dance performance experience Proficiency in MS Office and Google Apps Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills Outgoing, proactive, and positive approach Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment Enthusiasm for working with students of all ages and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years related work experience Passion and experience in hip-hop dance Strong connection to Boston’s hip-hop and street dancemunity Experience in a performance or dance education setting
