We’re currently seeking a School Social Worker for a short-term summer contract in Suffolk County, MA. In this role, you will provide targeted social-emotional support to a small caseload of students, collaborate with school teams, and help implement strategies that promote student well-being and academic success.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students, addressing behavioral, emotional, and social challenges. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement intervention strategies that promote student success. Conduct assessments to identify student needs and provide recommendations for appropriate services and accommodations. Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Advocate for students by connecting them with community resources and support services to address academic, social, and emotional needs. Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW). Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license in Massachusetts. School Social Work License through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing social-emotional interventions. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
