As an EarlyIntervention Social Worker or Clinician, you will be responsiblefor providing home and community based early intervention servicesto infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmentaldelays and their families in both their homes and communitysettings. You will partner with parents/caregivers to ensureservice delivery is individualized, meaningful for the family, andgrounded in evidence-based practice. Through this collaborativeprocess you ensure families’ priorities, needs, culture, and valuesare prioritized. Cancer Insurance Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of client’sdevelopmental status.
- Provide direct child development servicesand activities developmentally appropriate for children 0-3 andtheir families.
- Participate in the development of IndividualFamily Service Plan (IFSP) with responsibility for identifyinggoals, objectives, and strategies related to the child’sdevelopment.
- Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, andcorrespondence as appropriate
- Provides individual and groupintervention for infants and toddlers from birth to three years oldwho have developmental delays or who are at risk for delays in theareas of cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care,fine motor, gross motor, and communication development.
- Assessfamily and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
- Actas service coordinator for the family by scheduling, developing,implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan foreach family on caseload, ensuring that appropriate procedures andtimelines are followed.
- Provides supportive professionalassistance to families.
- Facilitate parent-child interactions toencourage child’s development; assist families to act as advocatesfor their child.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in SocialWork from an accredited school of social work OR Certified orLicensed Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW, LHMC) required.
- Experiencewith infants, toddlers and families is preferred.
- Knowledge offamily systems and early childhood development.
- Ability to engagein meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children,parents/caregivers, and community partners.
- Commitment todelivering individualized and culturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizationalskills.
- Abide by all confidentiality and professional boundariesstandards.
- Good computer skills as well as strong documentationskills.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
