As an EarlyIntervention Social Worker or Clinician, you will be responsiblefor providing home and community based early intervention servicesto infants and toddlers who have or are at risk for developmentaldelays and their families in both their homes and communitysettings. You will partner with parents/caregivers to ensureservice delivery is individualized, meaningful for the family, andgrounded in evidence-based practice. Through this collaborativeprocess you ensure families’ priorities, needs, culture, and valuesare prioritized. Cancer Insurance PositionResponsibilities:
- Participate in multidisciplinary teamassessments of client’s developmental status.
- Provide directchild development services and activities developmentallyappropriate for children 0-3 and their families.
- Participate inthe development of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) withresponsibility for identifying goals, objectives, and strategiesrelated to the child’s development.
- Complete progress notes,reports, assessments, and correspondence as appropriate
- Providesindividual and group intervention for infants and toddlers frombirth to three years old who have developmental delays or who areat risk for delays in the areas of cognitive, adaptive behavior,social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, andcommunication development.
- Assess family and childstrengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
- Act as servicecoordinator for the family by scheduling, developing, implementing,monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family oncaseload, ensuring that appropriate procedures and timelines arefollowed.
- Provides supportive professional assistance tofamilies.
- Facilitate parent-child interactions to encouragechild’s development; assist families to act as advocates for theirchild.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work froman accredited school of social work OR Certified or Licensed SocialWorker (LCSW, LICSW, LHMC) required.
- Experience with infants,toddlers and families is preferred.
- Knowledge of family systemsand early childhood development.
- Ability to engage in meaningful,therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, andcommunity partners.
- Commitment to delivering individualized andculturally humble services.
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication and organizational skills.
- Abide by allconfidentiality and professional boundaries standards.
- Goodcomputer skills as well as strong documentation skills.
- Currentdriver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Bicultural a plus.
