After School Care Provider Maine Mountain Children’s House 36 Salem Road, Kingfield, ME 04947 Maine Mountain Children’s House (MMCH) is seeking an After School Care Provider to join our small, close-knit team located in Kingfield, Maine! MMCH is a non-profit Montessori school offering programming for children ages 18 months

• 6 years old.

We have a friendly and supportive work environment, with an engaged group of parents and a volunteer board of directors. We seek an individual who has experience working with young children, and who is also interested in the Montessori teaching philosophy. This person should love spending time outdoors through all seasons, have the energy and stamina to spend their day with young students, and have the flexibility to adjust to whatever each day may bring. All applicants must have a deep respect for the capabilities of young children, be willing to work as a team with our amazing staff, and be committed to bettering themselves as an educator each day. The role of the After School Care Coordinator is to provide a space where children can play without rigid goals while also providing comfort and routine. There should be time allotted for free play outside, a small snack, and quiet open-ended activities and toys that invite working together or individually. The responsibilities of the After School Care Coordinator are as follows: To be responsible for the welfare and safety of the students in your care To arrive each day ready to serve the children in your care To work as a team to provide a safe, supportive, and inspirational educational environment for children ages 18 months to 8 years old To plan and implement enrichment opportunities with help from volunteers (i.e. yoga lessons, cooking projects, dance, science, etc.) throughout the academic year when appropriate To model grace and courtesy for young children through interactions with both students and staff To communicate with fellow staff members and parents in a thoughtful and respectful way To attend and contribute to monthly staff meetings To contribute to monthly Newsletters To communicate the ASC annual calendar, including but not limited to; early release days, workshop days, school vacations, etc. to ASC families To provide an ASC orientation for new and returning students regarding ASC and MMCH general expectations and guidelines.

• $17 per hour + state sponsored monthly bonuses of $240
• $540 based on training and experience, PTO, IRA program with employer match, and paid professional development.
