Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must obtain and maintain a current substitute certificate.
Preferred:
One or fewer years of experience in educational settings.

Purpose:
Educate parents about school functions, community resources, parent involvement activities, and other applications aimed at improving student attendance, student achievement, and parent involvement. The coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and participating in all family involvement activities throughout the school. The coordinator’s purpose is to promote parent participation in order to improve their child’s educational outcomes.

Essential Job Functions:
- Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
- To “telework” when requested by the District.
- Provide resources to student families and staff members.
- Demonstrate SIP requirements through parent involvement activities.
- Ensure that Title I policies and procedures are met within the building.
- Prepare monthly newsletters, calendars, and other documentation.
- Other assigned duties.
