m., occasional overtime Anticipated Hours per Week 40; up to 40% teleworking subject to supervisor approval and department needs Work Location A-B Tech Main Campus Job Description Summary The Coordinator of Disability Support Services serves as the primary contact for students requesting disability accommodations and provides individualized guidance and support from intake through implementation. This position ensures legally compliant and equitable access to academic programs and services in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) federal law and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. In addition to direct student support, the Coordinator manages cross-campus coordination of accommodations, collaborates with faculty and departments to ensure implementation, provides training, and consults on complex access cases. This role carries significant institutional responsibility, with direct implications for student retention, compliance with federal law, and the College’s funding through FTE persistence. Duties 1. Provides direct support to students with disabilities through intake, documentation review, individualized accommodation planning, and ongoing success coaching. 2. Coordinates implementation of accommodations across academic departments; serving as a liaison between students, faculty, and service providers. 3. Trains and consults with faculty and staff on the rights of students under ADA/504 federal law, appropriate accommodations, and inclusive practices consistent with the Office of Civil Rights regulations. 4. Oversees contracts and services for accommodation provision, including interpreting, captioning, and assistive technology; manages related purchasing and vendor relations. 5. Monitors students identified as “at risk”, responding to Early Alerts and ensuring coordinated care with advising, counseling, and external resources. 6. Analyzes trends, maintains records, and supports reporting for ADA/504 federal compliance and institutional improvement. 7. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement. 8. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects. 9. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements) 1. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or related field; 2. Three years of full-time or equivalent experience working with individuals with disabilities; 3. One year of full-time or equivalent experience working with ADA/504 compliance. Preferred Qualifications 1. Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or related field
