Position Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to maximize the learning experience of students with special needs, in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students’ specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment. Minimum Degree Level :
? Master’s Degree in Special Education ? Administrative Endorsement Preferred ? Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience in special education ? Management and supervision experience in an educational setting (public school setting preferred) ? Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may fine appropriate ?
