What You’ll Do:

As a Family Peer Support Supervisor at Alexander Youth Network, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to a team of Family Peer Support Specialists (FPSS) who support families navigating the challenges of raising children with behavioral health needs. Drawing from your knowledge of family peer support principles and your own lived experience as a parent/caregiver of a child with emotional, behavioral, social, developmental, and/or substance use challenges, you will ensure the effective implementation and sustainability of the family peer support program. You will be responsible for supervising and guiding the Family Peer Support Specialist team (maintaining a 1:10 supervisor-to-peer ratio), ensuring quality service delivery, facilitating professional development, and fostering a supportive work environment. Your leadership will be crucial in promoting self-advocacy, system navigation, and resilience among both the FPSS team and the families they serve, ultimately improving outcomes for youth involved in multiple systems. A full job description can be provided to interested/qualified candidates. Education and Experience Must be Qualified Mental Health Professional. B.A or B.S. in Social Work or a related human service field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in mental health, substance use, or related human services field Prior experience as a Family Peer Support Specialist or with family peer support programs highly valued Experience in providing direct supervision preferred Must complete FPSS-specific supervisor training within 10 months of hire date Knowledge of and experience with such child-serving systems as (mental health, developmental disabilities, schools, juvenile justice, child welfare, etc.) Completion of 88 hours of required training for family peer specialist certification including: Trauma Informed Supervisor Training, System of Care, Family Journey Assessment Training, and other relevant professional development National Family Peer Specialist Certification preferred at time of hire; required within 12 months of start date if not already certified
