EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a master’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Social Work Supervisor III is responsible for supervising a team of social workers. This position is responsible for screening reports of adult abuse, neglect and/or exploitation according to policy standards and law. This position is responsible for ensuring social work staff initiate reports of alleged maltreatment timely, adequately assess the safety and risk of vulnerable adults and make critical case decisions. The supervisor is responsible for conducting individual and group supervision and ensuring the proper provision of services according to policy. This position is responsible for coordinating workflow operations, and supervising staff through case review and consultation, which requires the provision of substantial and recurring technical direction. The employee is responsible for staff training, resolving problems and ensuring quality services are provided. The employee provides input to higher level management on administrative, personnel, and budget issues. Position requires availability of after-hours and weekend on call supervisory duty. A valid driver’s license and a telephone where the employee can be reached at all times are required. Work is performed under the supervision of the Social Work Program Manager.
