As a Social Worker IAT in Adult Protective Services (APS), you will play a critical role in protectingvulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. This position involves conducting investigations,assessing risk, and developing intervention plans to ensure client safety and well-being.
Key responsibilities include:
Investigating reports of suspected adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
Conducting client assessments to determine needs and risk levels.
Coordinating services and interventions with community resources and legal authorities.
Advocating for client safety and well-being while respecting autonomy and legal guidelines.
Serves on-call rotation and serves as back up for CPS unit.
- Education and experience requirements
- A Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) with one year of social work experience
- a Bachelors degree in Social Work (BSW) with two years of social work or counseling experience
- a Masters degree in a counseling field with two years of social work or counseling experience
- a four-year degree in human services or a related field with three years of social work or counseling experience
- or a four-year degree in any field with four years of experience in social work, rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, or a related human services field, including experience in casework, group work, or community organization
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may also be considered.
