The primary purpose of this position is to provide intensive social work services to families receiving In-Home Services. The
- Social Worker III
- in this role is responsible for assisting families with accessingappropriate and necessary services; assessing the safety and risk of children in their environment; makingcritical decisions to facilitate involvement in the legal system when necessary, including removal ofchildren from homes when they are identified as being in danger; and facilitating placement whennecessary to ensure child safety.
This position involves the development, in collaboration with families,of formal plans to eliminate conditions of abuse, neglect, and dependency. Employees serves in the on-call rotation.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Masters degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or
- Bachelors degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or
- Masters degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or
- Bachelors degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or
- Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions
- Must possess a valid NC Driver’s.
