The Department of Social Services is seeking candidates for a •Social Worker II – Work First Employment Services•. The primary purpose of this position is to provide group instruction on how to prepare for employment and successfully job search for clients of the Work First Program. This candidate organizes, facilitates, and instructs self-sufficiency training for Work First clients and non-custodial parents of WFFA children; completes employment assessments, assists clients directly in finding employment opportunities, and provides motivational and supportive group counseling on such topics as job attainment, job retention, understanding employer expectations, and effective work habits.
