CBRS THERAPIST
Living Through My Dreams Home Care, LLC Charlotte, NC The care provided by a CBRS/ Special Instructor is fundamental to promoting early cognitive skills, increasing attention span and appropriate cooperative play in infants/toddlers while improving their quality of life. The most crucial years for improving brain development are the ages from birth to three. A CBRS/ Special Instructor can assist with the special education a infant/toddler needs even before they begin school. While working as a CBRS/ Special Instructor at Living Through My Dreams, LLC, you should expect to: Follow an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and develop methodologies for reaching each child’s specific developmental goals. Provide various strategies to family members or caregivers and facilitate active involvement to carry-over in a child’s nature learning environment. Provide services in different settings such as homes, daycares, centers, or other community settings. Ensure that progress is evident and that family members or caregivers are active participants in early intervention through addressing specific goals and communicating with the entire team.
Requirements:
B.A /M.A
(preferred) in Early Childhood or Special Education, B.A in Psychology, Birth-Kindergarten Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Child Development, Child and Family Studies, Counseling, Human Development, Family Relations, Family Studies, Family and Consumer Sciences, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or another human services field • NC School in Early Childhood/Special Education Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills Minimum one year of experience working with preschool-age children with disabilities and their families We will build your caseload according to your areas and times of availability. We are looking for part-time and contractual, or even just one day a week. We will customize your caseload to meet your geographic and scheduling preferences. We are open to hiring with Special Instructors’ little or no experience in the field, as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training.
