Social Worker II Pender County Government – 2.0 Burgaw, NC Job Details Full-time $47,383.62 – $71,075.43 a year 2 days ago Qualifications Mid-level Full Job Description JOB The primary purpose of this position is to work with and support at-risk families and perform intensive visitation and transportation services focused on promoting positive parent/child interaction, bonding and attachment. This position implements activities with parents that promote healthy childhood growth and development while assessing the ongoing needs of families.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Reasonable accommodations may be requested by contacting Pender County Human Resources.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Supervising visits between children and parentsTransporting children to supervised visitsTransporting children to doctor and dentist appointmentsReferring families to appropriate community resourcesDocumenting visits and all interactions with familiesParticipating in team meetings and discussionsTestifying in courtProviding any additional support services needed by supervisors or permanency planning social workersWeekly check in with Social Work Supervisor for weekly travel visitation schedule.

Transport parents to random drug screens if requested.

Assisting with displaced foster youth that stay in buildingPerform other job-related duties as required.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
