Student Exchange Coordinator – Hertford area 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Hertford, NC 27930

NOTE:

this is a contract position and payment is only issued upon completion of placement/supervision reports. International Experience (iE) is seeking to hire people who want to make a positive impact in their local community . As a Student Exchange Coordinator (commonly referred to as “Local Coordinator”) you will help mentor high school exchange students from around the world, who have chosen to spend a school semester or school year in the US. iE is proud to offer personalized and hands-on care to each student and family participating in our program. With your help, we can ensure that they come away from their experiences with a better understanding of different cultures and memories that last a lifetime! We are looking for someone who is interested in working with students currently on exchange (see section “supervision” below). What else can a Local Coordinator do?

Recruit host families:

research and contact people near you who would be interested in hosting one of our exchange students for either one or two semesters.

Making placements and vetting:

Complete placements and vet potential host families to ensure they meet the requirements to host. Help host families select the right exchange student for their family.

Supervision:

Provide students and host families the support and guidance necessary during their exchange experience through regular contact, ultimately ensuring the safety and well being of the exchange student(s).

While some work has to be done on-site (e.g. vetting the host family home, regular in-person meetings with students and host families), the majority of the work can be done from home/remotely. Set your own goals and decide how many students/families you want to work with. We offer cash bonuses, travel perks, etc. if you meet certain recruitment milestones, but there are no quotas you have to meet.
