Adoption Worker Carolina Adoption Services Raleigh, NC Greatest needs in the following areas, but not limited to: , Triangle area
Position Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work or related area of study from a school accredited by the Association of Colleges and Schools; or a Bachelor’s Degree In Social Work (or equivalent) and two years’ experience working directly with children. Candidates with related Bachelor’s Degrees will be considered on a case-by-case basis along with commensurate experience. Must be willing to make home visits, travel on a limited basis, and work some evenings and Saturdays.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare pre-placement assessments (home studies) and home study updates with adoptive couples and individuals per the guidelines described in the agency’s home study outline Meet the requirements of the agency’s Policies and Procedures for Home study workers Provide post-adoption/post-placement supervision and submit post-adoption/placement reports in a timely manner and In accordance with the outline provided prior to beginning services to families Submit documentation and accurate time sheets on a timely basis Offer education and counseling services to all members of the adoption triangle regarding adoption related Issues. Provide child specific training and community resources to adoptive parents. Maintain case records In accordance with state and agency standards. Participate In periodic Informational Meetings for persons interested in learning more about international adoption, if applicable. Work with the Clinical Director to meet all standards and requirements under CAS policies and procedures. Complete annual continuing education requirements (15 hours minimum – per Hague regulations; 24 hours for workers in NC) and submit annual training log on a quarterly basis. Provide a minimum of two weeks notice, if submitting resignation. Complete all active case assignments and return all materials to CAS. Other tasks as needed
