School Year Position Overview:
The Student Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This individual will oversee student case management, implement developmental programming, and collaborate with staff and families to foster a well-rounded, supportive environment that nurtures the whole child. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who can manage projects from inception to completion with a high degree of organization, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
The Student Development Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and supporting students through individualized plans and proactive interventions as part of a comprehensive case management approach. They will develop, implement, and evaluate programs and projects that promote student growth and engagement. This role requires close collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure alignment on student development goals and accommodations. The coordinator will maintain accurate records of student progress, interventions, and support plans, using data to inform practice and improve outcomes. If applicable, there may be opportunity to design and teach engaging elective courses to support holistic development. A key focus of the role is fostering whole-child development through initiatives that build academic support, character, resilience, and social skills. The coordinator should exhibit strong executive functioning skills, including time management, organization, and task completion. In addition, they will plan and facilitate meetings that contribute to student growth and family partnership. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Candidates must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and possess a background in one of the following: special education, school counseling, educational leadership, psychology, and/or human development.
