The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and resources to children and families in need, focusing on mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and therapy. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral health and the ability to navigate medical records effectively. The Social Worker will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for pediatric patients. Responsibilities Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Provide therapy and counseling services to children experiencing mental health challenges. Engage in crisis intervention strategies to support families during critical situations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resources. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards. Educate families on available resources and support systems within the community. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or related field. Experience working with children in a clinical or therapeutic setting is preferred. Knowledge of behavioral health practices and psychopharmacology. Strong skills in crisis intervention and mental health counseling. Familiarity with medical records management and ICD-9 coding is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
