School Social Worker 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Voorheesville, NY The Voorheesville and Berne-Knox-Westerlo Central School Districts have one full-time, probationary Social Worker position available, beginning Sept 1, 2025. This position will be split equally between the two neighboring districts. Duties Provide family and individual services for students at risk in the district. Focus on skills for special needs students. Provide counseling for students with behavioral or emotional issues or students in crisis. Assist in linking families and students to community agencies. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team in evaluating and developing intervention plans for students in general education and students with disabilities with mental health needs. Collaborate with School Psychologist and School Counselor to provide social emotional support to students as needed. Follow-up on parenting forums. Job Qualifications Masters Degree in Social Work. New York State Certification as a School Social Worker. Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred. Previous experience in a school setting preferred. Excellent health, vitality and enthusiasm. Dedicated to teaching and to students. Good college record and excellent references.
