Youth Development Social Worker The Fedcap Group 369 East 148th Street, Bronx, NY 10455

Position:

Social Worker What You’ll Do As a Social Worker, you’ll support young adults (ages 18-24) by providing counseling and connecting them with resources to help them reach their personal, educational, and career goals.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Providing individual and group counseling sessions Meeting regularly with participants to ensure progress and retention Referring participants and their families to appropriate internal or external services Writing progress notes and keeping detailed participant records Conducting assessments and creating psychosocial evaluations Helping participants set educational and career goals using motivational interviewing Staying in touch with participants and graduates through in-person meetings, phone calls, and social media Collaborating with referral partners and program supervisors Reporting outcomes and submitting weekly updates to the Program Director Attending regular supervision and training sessions Participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities You Would Be a

Great Fit If You:

Hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and are licensed (LMSW or LCSW) or able to obtain it within 6 months of employment Have at least 2 years of experience providing mental health services to youth and young adults Have worked with disconnected youth in the past 5 years Are experienced in using a youth development approach (a plus) Can handle crisis situations and provide appropriate interventions Compensation $ 44,000.00 per year
