Location :

3 days in office in Port Jefferson Station, NY and 2 days remote Job Description As the School Age Coordinator, you will serve as a vital link between therapists, school districts, and the NYTPS billing department. This role ensures consistent and effective communication, emphasizing exceptional customer service, compliance, and efficiency in delivering services to school-aged children. Key Responsibilities Act as a liaison between school districts, facilities, and clinicians for related service and special education programs, ensuring smooth operations and the highest quality of service. Ensure therapists comply with IEP mandates to support students individualized educational objectives. Manage and maintain accurate enrollments and caseloads to facilitate effective service delivery. Monitor and track upcoming meetings, evaluations, and annual review sessions to ensure timely progression of services. Verify the quality and accuracy of all written reports and documentation for consistency and clarity. Track and oversee the timely submission of progress reports and prescription updates. Collaborate with the Billing Department to ensure precise enrollments and prompt billing processes. Communicate effectively with school districts and clinicians regarding new policies and procedures. This Role Requires The ability to move efficiently within an office environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with staff and reviewing documentation. The ability to sit for extended periods (2-4 hours) and occasionally bend or reach into filing cabinets. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Education, Psychology, Social Work, etc.) Prior experience coordinating services or working in a school setting. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. A team player with a passion for helping others succeed.
