School Psychologist, Counselor or Social Worker 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Rushville, NY This is a full-time position. Health insurance, sick/personal days, NYS TRS retirement system or NYS Employee Retirement System.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker or School Counselor to support students in grades 3-5, including those in special education programs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, families, and community resources to promote student well-being, academic success, and social skills development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students. Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and parents. Facilitate social skills groups and workshops. Support students with special needs in accessing appropriate resources and services. Collaborate with special education teams to develop IEP goals related to social-emotional learning. Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community services. Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development. Job Qualifications NYS Certification preferred or license.
