Job Description
Family Advocate 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars New Oxford, PA 17350 • Hybrid work Children’s Aid Society is seeking a compassionate Family Advocate to support families in Adams County! The Family Advocate will support families facing various challenges by providing resources, assistance, and advocacy services. Family Advocates act as a liaison between families and service providers, ensuring families receive the necessary support to navigate complex systems and improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess the specific needs of families, considering social, emotional, and economic factors to develop individualized action plans tailored to the family’s unique circumstances. Connect families with appropriate community resources, including education, healthcare, social services, and legal assistance Empower families to become self-sufficient and resilient by promoting positive relationships and effective communication Develop outreach programs and participate in community events; Facilitate special programs such as The Incredible Years, Dina Small School, and Parent Support Groups.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a similar field Excellent Microsoft Office, IT, and organizational skills Experience in Case Management and working with culturally diverse families Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred, not required Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
