West Washington Street, Corry, PA 16407 Job Overview The Programming and Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting our organization with the community, fostering relationships, and promoting our programs. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about libraries, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to educating the community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs within the library and community. Duties Work under the Director to plan program schedules for the year. Plan, implement and organize events children, teen and patrons . Provide outreach programs to schools, daycares, nursing homes and other facilities. Work with community members/groups to create partnerships and programs to promote library services. Perform duties of a Library Clerk such as working the circulation desk, assisting patrons, check outs, returns, and shelving of books, etc. Work collaboratively with other library staff to prepare signage, posters, displays and banners; create social media/marketing posts and website updates. Requirements Working knowledge of library methods and procedures. Background knowledge of library services, programming and organization of information. Knowledge of literacy education, trends, and professional resources. Ability to speak in front of crowds to effectively present information and lead programs. Planning and organizational skills, ability to gather statistics, verbal and written communication skills, computer/office machine knowledge. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, work well independently or with group. Ability to work collaboratively with members of the community, board members, and library staff. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, the ability to obtain Act 35 clearances, Pa State Criminal Background check, FBI Fingerprint check, and Child Abuse Clearances.
