MAT Social Worker Requirements The BCC MAT Social Worker shallcommunicate with SCI MAT Social Worker when reentrants OD incommunity and are returned to SCI for detox to determineeligibility and appropriateness for MAT. The SCI MAT Social Workershall assist with MAT referrals in the community, including settingup and scheduling appointments for medication and treatment. TheBCC and SCI MAT Social Worker shall ensure needs, benefits, andservices are obtained in accordance with assigned individuals’treatment plans. The BCC and SCI MAT Social Worker shall track andupdate spreadsheet/database on everyone released from an SCI on aMAT. The BCC and SCI MAT Social Worker shall attend weekly VivitrolConference Call, and other meetings as needed. MAT Social Workersshall document all contacts in appropriate systems (Captor,Sapphire etc.). MAT Social Workers shall attend all requiredtrainings. MAT Social Workers shall meet with reentrants withpositive urine drug screens to assess and refer to treatment. MATSocial Workers shall complete the GPRA as required (Initial, 6months, discharge). MAT Social Workers shall meet with Reentrantsin the SCI, BCC, Parole Offices, and/or Treatment providers asnecessary. MAT Social Workers shall communicate all treatmentplanning to Center Staff, SCI Staff, and/or Parole staff. MATSocial Workers shall subscribe to the MAT/AOD Treatment frameworkand policies and procedures of the

DOC. MAT

Social Workers shallimplement and provide social work, counseling, and case managementservices to individuals to enhance their social functioning and tohelp them attain a more satisfactory social, economic, or physicaladjustment. MAT Social Workers shall perform in accordance withapplicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures under thegeneral supervision of an administrative supervisor. MAT SocialWorkers shall assess offenders’ psychosocial strengths, weaknesses,and social work service’s needs, and eligibility for services. MATSocial Workers shall counsel individuals utilizing varioustreatment modalities. MAT Social Workers shall discuss assignedindividuals’ psychosocial assessments and family history inmultidisciplinary treatment team meetings. A Bachelor’s in SocialWorker or Human Service field required.
