Summary of Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Visitation Supervisor, the Coaching Aide is responsible for facilitating, supporting, and enhancing parent-child interactions during supervised visitation sessions for families involved with Children and Youth Services (CYS). This role goes beyond observation and documentation by actively coaching and guiding parents to strengthen parenting skills, improve communication, and foster healthy, supportive relationships with their children. Duties are conducted in accordance with all existing policies, procedures, and regulations and in alignment with the Mission and Values of the Company.
Essential Functions:
The Coaching Aide facilitates and coaches family visits by actively supporting and guiding parents during supervised sessions to strengthen parenting skills and promote positive, developmentally appropriate interactions. Coaching support is provided before and after visits to help parents prepare for and reflect on each session, and to collaboratively develop plans that promote healthy parent-child engagement. This role is responsible for documenting each visit, including coaching observations, parent progress, and required summaries, while maintaining accurate and timely records. The Coaching Aide also coordinates visit schedules and transports children and/or parents to visitation sessions, court hearings, and other approved appointments, ensuring safety and professionalism. They help identify family needs and barriers to reunification or engagement and make appropriate referrals to community-based resources and support services. Additionally, the Coaching Aide maintains safe, welcoming visitation environments and participates in training and professional development to apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.

High school diploma and 12 semester credit hours in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other social science and two years’ direct care experience in public or private human services. Or a high school diploma and four years of direct care experience in public or private human services.

Automobile and Valid Insurance, Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Check, Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Social Security Card, Immigration and Naturalization (I-9),
Drug Screening Clearance Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office and community-based setting with frequent travel throughout the assigned region, which may include evenings, weekends, and adverse weather conditions. Must be comfortable using virtual technology and able to lift up to 45 pounds.
