Children’s Dance Instructor and Outreach Coordinator Kindermotion and Dance of New England Portsmouth, RI 02871 • Hybrid work Do you love working with young children and also enjoy building relationships in your community? We’re looking for a warm, reliable, and energetic individual to join our team beginning in early August as a Lead Instructor and Community Outreach Coordinator (East Bay RI and Southeastern MA area) someone who can lead our dance, physical education and movement based classes for young children and help us grow by connecting with schools, child care centers, and recreation sites across East Bay RI and South Eastern MA. This is a unique hybrid role that blends fun teaching with community outreach. It’s ideal for someone who wants flexible, meaningful work and is excited to be part of a growing mission to make physical education enrichment classes simple and convenient for families and schools. Company Overview Kindermotion and Dance specializes in innovative educational programs that blend dance, motor development, gymnastics, and fitness for children aged 18 months-10 years. Our unique developmental curriculum uses movement as a tool to enhance academic skills, ensuring that children benefit holistically in their physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, and communication development.
What You’ll Do:
Teaching (60-70%) Lead 4-8 classes/events per week (dance, tumbling, fitness, yoga, or sports) for children ages 18 months to 8 years Use our curriculum to deliver fun, enriching lessons full of purposeful play Create welcoming, engaging classroom environments at schools, child care centers, and recreation sites Community Coordination (30-40%) Help us strengthen relationships with our host schools and site partners Visit locations, deliver flyers, follow up with directors, or gather feedback Occasionally attend family or community events to promote our programs Support seasonal outreach efforts (e.g., summer programs or fall enrollment) Assist in organizing events and workshops to engage the community and showcase our curriculum. Assist in managing social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and connect with parents.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with young children (teaching, early childhood, youth programs, etc.) Organized, proactive, and comfortable talking to both kids and adults A warm, friendly communicator who can represent our brand with care Comfortable driving between sites (travel stipend provided) Priority to individuals able to commute to Newton MA area or East Bay, Southeastern MA, Aquidneck Island area. Bonus if you have a background in movement, dance, theater, fitness, or early childhood education
Hours & Pay:
Part-time :
~10-15 hours/week to start, with quick potential to grow
Teaching Pay :
$25-$30/hour (based on experience)
Community Outreach Pay :
