    Organizational Unit Overview The Greenville Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) is a part of the ECU Brody School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics and contractually serves as the primary portal of entry for the N.

C. Infant-Toddler Program for seven counties in the eastern region of NC.
Job Duties The Service Coordinator independently completes routines-based family assessments, infant and toddler developmental assessments, and ongoing needs assessments with families of children ages birth to age three. The Service Coordinator position ensures family & child services are initiated and monitored in compliance with the Federal IDEA Part C legislation and the regulations and quality indicators set forth by the North Carolina Infant-Toddler Program. The Service Coordinator completes collaborative reports, as well as ongoing documentation relative to child and family progress toward IFSP Goals. The Service Coordinator monitors the outcomes developed within the IFSP and resources and connects families to required early intervention supports and services in the community. As a primary member of the IFSP team, the Service Coordinator facilitates all IFSP meetings, eligibility evaluation and assessment events, and transition planning conferences, as well as performing other family support activities as needed. The position is primarily a community-based position with a typical Monday-Friday work schedule.
Minimum Education/Experience Associate degree in a related Human Services discipline and two years of experience related to the area of assignment, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation None
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education State regulations require that the candidate for CDSA Service Coordinator must have received a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: B-K Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Education, Child Development, Human Development, Family Relations, Family Studies, Family and Consumer Sciences, Psychology or Social Work, as well as two years of professional experience working with the population served. Training and/or experience working with children with developmental disabilities or with agencies serving children and families who are receiving early intervention services is highly preferred.
License or Certification required by the Department Infant-Toddler Family Specialist Certification or obtain within 30 days of employment
