Licensed Counselor or Social Worker Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate MentalHealth Provider to deliver vital mental health services to inmateswithin a county jail system. The ideal candidate will possesseither a master’s degree in counseling or social work. This is achallenging yet rewarding opportunity to positively impactindividuals’ lives during an important time.

RobertsonCounty Detention Center Open Position:

Licensed ProfessionalCounselor LPC, MSW or Psych RN Schedule:

10 hrs per week,

FlexibleSchedule Key Responsibilities:

Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of inmates’ mentalhealth needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinicalinterviews. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusingon stabilization, skill-building, and preparation for re-entry intothe community. Provide individual and group counseling services, addressing arange of issues such as substance abuse, trauma, anger management,and coping skills. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including correctionsstaff, medical professionals, and probation officers to ensurecomprehensive care. Facilitate referrals to internal programs and externalcommunity resources for ongoing support upon release. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments,treatment plans, sessions, and other relevant information. Stay current with best practices in correctional mental healthand seek out opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications:

Master’s Level:

Master’s degree in counseling or social work.

Current licensure (LPC, MSW, etc.) and eligibility forcertification in correctional mental health (preferred). Knowledge of evidence-based practices for working withjustice-involved populations. Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonalskills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, potentiallychallenging environment. Commitment to cultural competence and working with diversepopulations.

Registered Nurse:

Minimum of 2 years of experience inpsychiatric nursing Experience working with diverse patient populations anddiagnoses (e.g., substance abuse, personality disorders,psychosis) Correctional health experience preferred, but not required

Working Conditions:

This position is within a county jail setting. Must be able to pass a background check and adhere to allsecurity protocols. Ability to work designated shift.
