Job Summary
Serves one school by providing direct assistance to families and students that enhance or improve the student’s learning experience. Serves on special projects and committees to provide input on barriers to success in engagement.
What you will do
Provides direct assistance to families and students as determined by school leadership.
Develops and provides high quality training sessions and workshops to families based on needs assessments and goals of the school and District.
Conducts surveys and gathers data used to strengthen parent-school partnerships. Monitors the implementation of best practices help remove barriers to increase success in parent and community engagement.
Collaborates with cluster support teams to develop programs and partnerships which address the needs of students, families and the community.
Organizes and facilitates meetings and other parent/leadership school activities.
Meets regularly with school staff and leadership to share expertise; links academic goals with family programs; coordinates events and opportunities; and establishes and maintains communications between families, community partners, schools, and other MNPS departments about events, programs, classes, and opportunities.
Collects documentation to insure Federal compliance. Works closely with ESEA program specialists to promote family and community programs.
Works closely with school support staff to share information regarding school climate.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field Required
Experience Qualifications
2 years’ related experience in either education or community involvement working directly with parents and community members Required

Starting At:

$58,362.46
Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
