PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The RTI Coordinator/ Title I Facilitator is responsible for overseeing the Response to Intervention (RTI) framework and Title I programs within the school. This position ensures that students who are struggling academically receive the appropriate interventions and support while facilitating the Title I services to improve the educational experience for all students, especially those who are disadvantaged. This role involves collaboration with teachers, administrators, and parents to track student progress, design intervention strategies, and align resources with school-wide goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

: RTI Coordinator shall use best professional efforts and skills to perform duties in a diligent, energetic, competent, and ethical manner, consistent with the School’s established policies, directives, and expected practices.. RTI Coordinator supervises the RTI staff and coordinates the RTI program. Duties shall include following the Tennessee RTI 2 manual and ensure School compliance for an effective RTI 2 mode. RTI Coordinator implements and creates a benchmark calendar for Fall, Winter, and Spring. RTI Coordinator works with ILT and School Counselor for any recommendations leading to additional testing, conducts fidelity checks weekly and documents findings, and ensures all data and paperwork is updated in case of an audit. RTI Coordinator ensures all scholars are loaded in a benchmarking program, creates schedules for assessments and reports after each benchmark, and creates and implements schedules for Interventionists and Teacher’s Assistants. RTI Coordinator hosts Professional Development for SACS staff around RTI 2 each semester.. RTI Coordinator, also hosts weekly PLC’s with Interventionist and Teacher’s Assistants to ensure all intervention and paperwork is complete prior to data meetings.. Coordinator to ensure 5 on the operational scorecard. Additionally, RTI Coordinator ensures RTI staffs have instructional resources, progress monitoring, and RTI 2 paperwork. Tutors RTI students in the 3-5 classes. Facilitate monthly Data Review Meetings. Facilitates and organizes problem solving teams to facilitate early intervention to learning or behavioral problems. Provide building and district staff development in progress monitoring, creation of intervention groups, and reviewing curricular needs based on building scores. Create, organize and maintain “folders” (either electronic or paper) that travel with each child as they progress from grade to grade, school to school and to UTHS. Provide staff development regarding data use and development, data collection, SRB intervention and strategies. Serve as a resource in assisting teams make data based decisions about a child’s progress. Assist staff in use of data and progress monitoring tools such as iReady, Easy CBM and other such tools. Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement for students with diverse learning needs. Meets regularly with district administration to review student learning data, implementation of RTI models and assess areas in need to further support or staff development. Facilitate meetings in which building grade level teams meet to determine and monitor student placement in/growth during teaching of core curriculum (Data Daze). Facilitate all individual problem solving meetings. Act as the recorder of plans, data, and assist teachers in use of appropriate RTI systems. Create and monitor the use of a data wall. Oversee the implementation and administration of Title I programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Develop and implement the Title I School-wide or Targeted Assistance plan, based on student needs. Maintain accurate records for Title I services, ensuring that all data and reports are compliant with federal guidelines. Duties and job assignments may be revised during the term to meet the School’s needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field required. Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience or experience in a role to intervention services. Experience working with RTI frameworks and Title I programs highly preferred. Familiarity with federal and state education policies related to Title I and

RTI. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions. Excellent data analysis and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including teachers, administrators, and parents. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on building relationships with families and community members.
