Responsible for educating clients on their rights as written in the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Responsible for advocating for the proper evaluation and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 plans by coordinating and attending meetings with the client, school district, and school-based IEP or 504 team. Responsible for assisting clients with enrollment, truancy, and other school-based concerns. – Responsible for coordinating, developing, and implementing program services and activities. Collects and analyzes data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating program services and activities. Coordinates the day-to-day operations of other Outreach Coordinators by assigning, monitoring and reviewing the progress and accuracy of work, and directing efforts and providing guidance on more complex issues. Provides direction, training and support for the specific assigned community program using approved program methods and content. Proactively coordinates program activities to meet the needs of identified clients with attention to detail. With minimum supervision, implements program activities to meet the needs of identified clients. Assists with evaluating effectiveness of program activities. Demonstrates effective planning, time management, creativity, self-development, and professional competency. Performs other job functions as assigned. Supervision Provided by this Position This job is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of other Outreach Coordinators. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: light work – exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
