- Community Care Network is looking for per diem Respite Providers tojoin our Child and Family Outpatient team!

Role:
- This is a per diem position (2-16 hours per week depending on case load)with a lot of flexibility!
Respite Providers provide relief fromcare-giving responsibilities for families by engaging the child in funrecreational activities that support the interest and abilities of thechild. Respite services typically occur after school hours includingevenings and weekends. In general, services should be provided in a waythat most families can replicate regardless of socioeconomic background.

Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide one to one care to youth.
Encourage the childs participation by providing interactive activities.
Discuss the childs day with the parents and complete notes at the end ofthe shift outlining completed activities and behavior.
Encourage consistency of service by maintaining communication withparents and the Respite Coordinator.
Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the familys needs.
Complete documentation and service notes in a timely manner.
Report to the Respite Coordinator and actively seek consultationwhenever necessary or requested by the Respite Coordinator.
Attend required supervision, training, and in-service meetings.
- Candidates must have:
- High School Diploma or GEDAt least one year of experience working with children (preferablychildren with special needs)Ability to work a flexible schedule, supporting children between 2 – 16hours a week after school and/or on the weekends.
Must be comfortable providing home visits in a variety of locationsthroughout Rutland County and driving clients.
A valid drivers license, reliable transportation with personalautomobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandatedby the State of Vermont.
