SEA Behavioral Services is a Tier 3 program for students who need support with their social-emotional needs in order to be successful in the school setting. SEA paraprofessionals work under the supervision of social workers and special educators to provide support based on individual student needs based on each student’s Individual Educational Program (IEP). Typical duties include data collection, support in the general education classroom, and small group supervision. Qualified candidates will have experience working with teenagers in an educational setting, will be able to maintain appropriate boundaries, and will be able to provide support for student experiencing emotional dysregulation using research based strategies.

Brattleboro Union HS is seeking a dynamic, effectual team member to join our SEA BEhavioral Services team. Candidates for this position will be responsible , to support students behaviorally, socially, and emotionally, as well as provide some academic support in classroom settings when needed.
Qualified applicants for this position will have two years of college level education, preferably in the area of early childhood or elementary education, or pass the ParaPro assessment. Candidates should have an ability to support behavioral and social skill development in a general education environment, and strong communication, problem solving and collaborative skills. Previous experience with Applied Behavior Analysis in a school or home setting is highly preferred. This position is placed on Wage grade 4 (range $18.81•25.71), 191 days per year for 6.67 hours per day.
