POSITION SUMMARY
This is a professional clinical position providing clinical quality reviews for the Housing First Division. Directions for Living’s (DFL) Housing First programs address behavioral health, substance use, social determinants of health, and severe and persistent mental illness issues that lead to housing instability across a wide range of populations. In addition to working with community partners and resources, Housing first utilizes clinical interventions, case management interventions, psychiatric interventions, homeless outreach, and evidence-based practices such as High Fidelity Wrap, to stabilize and securely house homeless individuals and families and individuals and families at risk of homelessness. The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer Housing First will be dedicated to ensuring clinical quality assurance in Housing First services, including determining medical necessity and monitoring healthcare documents to ensure compliance and quality. This includes completing, or a mix of completing and approving, all bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and other documentation and assessments as required. The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer Housing First is responsible for ensuring clinical assessments and plans comply with documentation standards and all regulatory requirements. The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer Housing First will be a Clinical subject matter expert ensuring that all client assessments and plans focus on appropriate interventions, utilizing natural supports and ensuring that all services emphasize individualized treatment planning that is strength based. The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer Housing First will understand the overall quality management system at DFL and will seek to not only promote compliance, but strive for quality in all clinical assessments and planning. The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer Housing First will identify opportunities for continuing clinical education, support and growth of Housing First team members. The Clinical Quality Assurance Reviewer Housing First must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to work collaboratively with other DFL team members. This is a clinic-based position. This position reports to the Clinical Director. Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living Team Members must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
Must hold a master’s degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university. Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW required. A minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk populations to include adults, children and families experiencing substance use disorders, domestic violence, severe or persistent mental illness, homelessness, housing instability, and/or criminal justice involvement. Expertise in determining medical necessity.
