Clinical Social Worker, Psychiatric Consultation Service (High Salary) Position Available In Suffolk, Massachusetts

Position Summary/Department Summary:

Located within theDepartment of Psychiatry and Behavioral Services at BostonChildren’s Hospital, our Psychiatry Consultation Service providesexpert mental health and counseling support for children, parents,and other family members confronting the strain of chronic illnessand hospitalization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing clinicalsocial work services to assist patients and families with personal,family, medical and environmental difficulties.
• Performingpsychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses anddeveloping and implementing interventions and treatment plans.
• Participating in planning and implementation of discharge andoutpatient service plans and collaborating with health care teamand community agencies to plan, implementing and following up ontreatment and provision of needed services.

Minimum QualificationsEducation:

• Master’s degree in social work

Experience:

• One plusyear of hospital based social work experience preferred
• Strongclinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities
• Spanish language skills are a plus

Licensure/Qualifications:

• LCSW licensure in the state of MA required, LICSW licensure in thestate of MA preferred This position is eligible for a $1,000 signon bonus!
