Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)is required - Maine Medical Center, formerly Southern Maine Health Care
The Medical Social Worker role plans, organizes and initiates the social work needs of the inpatient population and their families to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the patient are addressed to support discharge planning and coordination.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Master’s Degree in Social Work/Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work/Counselor Education preferred.
License/Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) required.
Experience:
Relevant experience working with patients and families with a range of ages and social needs preferred.
