The Certified Peer Specialist will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to clients navigating behavioral health systems, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Duties Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to individuals in recovery from mental health and addiction issues. Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills through motivational interviewing techniques. Facilitate crisis intervention and management by recognizing signs of distress and providing immediate support. Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to create comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs. Educate clients about available resources within the behavioral health system, including social work services. Conduct group sessions focused on peer support, sharing experiences, and fostering a sense of community. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies. Qualifications Certification as a Peer Specialist or equivalent experience in a related field. Strong understanding of behavioral health systems and resources available for clients.
