We are a correctional,healthcare provider with a regional focus on our clinics inOklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas, Missouri, and Colorado Jails andDetention Centers. Our team oversees the day-to-day healthcareoperations in facilities with inmate populations ranging from 25 tonearly 2,800 inmates. Position:

Licensed MentalHealth Counselor /n/n The role of the counselor is to assess,evaluate and coordinate mental health care for incarceratedindividuals and formulate individualized release plans tocoordinate a continuum of care /n/n /n/t

• Assesses psychiatricemergencies and provides crisis intervention to emotionallydistressed and mentally ill inmates /n/t
• Conducts evaluations ofinmates for the purpose of suicide intervention and prevention /n/t
• Coordinates inmate care with Facility, and Medical staff toensure inmates’ special needs are addressed /n/t
• MAT/substanceabuse counseling /n/t
• Develops Individualized Treatment Plans forpsychiatric inmates who require intensive behavior management;completes referrals to Provider for medication management services/n/t
• Promotes linkages with community mental health agencies,other support services and families for inmate care andcoordination for continuum of care; including discharge planning;collaborates with community health providers for inmates who areenrolled clients /n/t
• Completes inmate need assessments anddevelops individualized release plans for inmates suffering frommental illness to connect inmates with appropriate services in thecommunity /n/t
• Maintains the safety and security of staff andinmates when making clinical decisions regarding inmates /n/t
• Participates in on-call responsibilities for off-hours MHP coverage/n/t
• Provides mental health training for jail staff as needed/n/t
• Completes other job duties as assigned /n /n/n

Qualifications:

/n/n A Master’s degree in social work, clinicalpsychology, psychiatric nursing, or related field; OR, anyequivalent combination of training and/or experience that providesthe required knowledge and abilities.
