POSITION SUMMARY
The Mental Health Counselor will beinvolved in working with all disciplines on the Mental Health Unitto attain effectiveness in serving the patientpopulation.
SCHEDULEPRNMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a Licensed,Master’s Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and maketreatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment includingLMHC, LCSW, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The Licensed Mental Health Counselorperforms individual and group therapeutic interventions asappropriate. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor performsadministrative consults for specialized social services asdetermined by the specific needs of the Institution. The LicensedMental Health Counselor performs specific psychiatric socialservice work on the Behavioral Health Unit of a Juvenile DetentionFacility. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor assists in planningand implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
May direct special projects as requested. The Licensed MentalHealth Counselor participates in and conducts in-service programs,as well as assists in the orientation of new staff and provides thenecessary preparation of documentation, necessary records andreports.
