Contract Counselor 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 1407 Dixon Boulevard, Cocoa, FL 32922 Job description This is a part-time position that pays per intake $150.00, per therapeutic session $75.00 (maximum sessions 12) and per diem mileage of $.445/mile. After completion of required training, you will be paid a one-time stipend of $ 250.00 Provides direct counseling services including individual, group, and family counseling Conducts comprehensive assessments, including psychosocial assessments of child’s/family’s problems and service needs. Develops treatment plans, which address the problems and service needs of the client/family. Performs case management duties, which include making referrals to the most appropriate and least restrictive services that address clients’ problems and needs. Serves as a liaison between practitioners, and other agencies involved in the case; Coordinates services as appropriate. Conducts accurate data entry of required client data as required. Demonstrates initiative in the performance of responsibilities and supports other members of the team and their work. Maintains a positive attitude and ensures that respect and valuing youth is encompassed in all aspects of job responsibilities. Reports any acts, incidents, or conditions effecting program functioning and youth safety. Strong understanding of adolescent behaviors and family dynamics with ability to interact and converse freely with others from a variety of backgrounds, especially at-risk youth and parents, without partiality or bias. Excellent crisis intervention skills. Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and the ability to inspire trust and confidence of others. Knowledge of the functions of various social and welfare agencies. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate several cases at once, keeping details separate. Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, and diagram forms. Ability to operate a computer. Strong writing skills, and the ability to document client service activity as required. Strong time management skills, and the ability to manage case load, client schedule and to work within the allocated work period. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the employer.
