Mental Health Counselor Henderson Behavioral Health – Brevard/ Central Fl Brevard County, FL
JOB SUMMARY
To work with a team of professionals in providing therapy to children/adolescents and their families in an office and/or community setting including treatment planning, behavior modification, individual/family/group therapy, and outcome tracking.
ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position reports to the Program Supervisor. This position has frequent contact with outside agencies (DJJ, schools, etc.)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule appointments with person served, family members, and collaterals.
- Provide psychosocial assessments and develop and implement individualized treatment plans with person served and family and enter documentation into EHR.
- Provide therapy for person served and their caretaker in individual, family and collateral sessions utilizing program specific model or therapy orientation and enter documentation into EHR.
- Complete state required outcome measurement documentation accurately, thoroughly, and submit it to the designated staff member at your location in a timely basis 100% of the time and enter documentation into EHR.
- Complete integrated assessments that determine appropriate level of care, as necessary.
- Maintain chart and complete all Henderson Behavioral Health (HBH) and funding source required documentation 100% of the time and enter documentation into EHR.
- Work collaboratively with case managers, schools, DJJ staff, and other providers and make referrals as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
- Meet program outcomes as defined in individual contracts and internal outcome measures 100% of the time and enter documentation into EHR.
- Provide a minimum of 65% (minimum 26 hours face to face) direct service as outlined by their supervisor within the three-month probationary period and monthly thereafter.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed including 24-7 on-call availability if contractually required and enter documentation into EHR.
- Participate in all scheduled unit meetings, clinical, and administrative supervision.
- Attend clinical and administrative trainings/workshops.
- Reliable transportation, a valid Florida driver’s license and auto liability insurance coverage of $50,000/$100,000/$50,000 are required.
- Observe Regulatory Compliance Program.

EHR. SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other applicable human services degree.
Experience:
At least two years working with children/adolescents and their families.
Knowledge:
Mental Health Counseling theory and application Family systems theory and application Behavior Modification Substance Abuse/Co-occurring Cultural Sensitivity DSM V Crisis intervention
Skills:
