This position involves providing guidance, support, and resources to clients, helping them navigate their recovery process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of behavioral health and demonstrate a commitment to fostering positive change in the lives of those they serve. Duties Conduct assessments to determine clients’ needs and develop individualized recovery plans. Provide emotional support, recovery counseling, and navigation to clients in various settings. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to assist clients in managing acute situations effectively. Employ motivational interviewing strategies to encourage client engagement and commitment to recovery goals. Mentor clients by offering support, guidance, and encouragement throughout their recovery journey. Manage a caseload of participants and schedule one on one individualized appointments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with organizational policies. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to behavioral health. Qualifications A state certified recovery peer specialist credential is preferred. Experience in mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or crisis management is preferred. Strong knowledge of systems related to behavioral health and recovery services. Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and motivational interviewing methods. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all interactions.
