Broadstep Behavioral Health is hiring a LicensedClinical Addiction Specialist or Certified Alcohol and DrugCounselor for our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) thatserves Carteret, Onslow, and Craven counties. The ACT program is adirect and indirect periodic service where the staff providesdirect intervention and arranges, coordinates, and monitorsservices on behalf of the recipient. This service is provided inany location. Services are primarily provided in a range ofcommunity settings such as recipients home, school, homelessshelters, libraries, etc.

This is a full-time position working in thecommunity with frequent travel to meet with clients in thearea.

M-F, 8am-5pm (with some flexibility)

This role is based out of our Jacksonville, NC office and requiresfrequent travel to meet with clients in Carteret, Onslow, andCraven counties.
Job Duties:
As a member of our Assertive CommunityTreatment (ACT) team you will be responsible for conductingcomprehensive substance abuse assessments that describe therelationship between the member’s mental health and substance use.
You will serve as a consultant and educator to fellow ACT teammembers regarding integrated dual disorder treatment. Assist in thedevelopment of natural support networks Individual and groupsupportive counseling Monitor symptoms and medications and link theindividual to the appropriate services, agencies and supports inthe community Write, implement, evaluate, and revise client’sperson-centered plan and overall treatment goals Participate inon-call crisis intervention rotation Review treatment progress andprovide continuous consultation with other Team staff Ensureimmediate and appropriate interventions are provided in response tochanges in mental status which may put an individual at risk.

JobRequirements:
Must be a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist(LCAS or LCAS-A), or a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
PLEASE NOTE
Wecannot consider CADC-I or CADC-R candidates. Must meet therequirements of a Qualified Professional in NC as outlined below:
Bachelor’s degree (in Human Services field) and 2+ years full-timeexperience with population served; or Bachelor’s degree (Not HumanServices field) & 4+ years full-time experience with populationserved; or Master’s Degree or Higher and 1+ years full-timeexperience with population served
License Requirements:
LCAS or CADCin North Carolina •Clinical supervision is provided.
