• The Pearl treatment program is built on a foundation of evidence-based therapies and disciplines designed to treat the underlying causes of addiction and prevent relapse.

Our approach is both intentional and intensive, structured into a comprehensive 90-day program consisting of three thirty-day phases. Each phase encompasses specific therapeutic processes, goals, skills, and benchmarks designed to help men and their treatment teams measure progress towards successfully engaging life after The Pearl.

• Job Responsibilities:

• The Counselor is responsible for conducting screening, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, multidisciplinary treatment team consultation and coordination of recovery program services.

Counselors motivate clients to actively participate in their therapeutic program, facilitate implementation, presentation, evaluation, and revision of treatment plans, and facilitates/presents educational programs to clients.

• Qualifications:

• Able to document casework in a timely manner in compliance with agency policies and procedures, including writing objective case notes, progress and discharge reports, and other timely status reports as requested by the supervisor and according to state & Joint Commission standards.
• Collaborates with medical, nursing, and counseling staff regarding clients counseling needs and participants in weekly clinical supervisor.
• Able to assess at-risk factors (suicide and self-harm) and intervene clinically in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Advanced understanding and knowledge of treatment modalities for substance abuse disorders and co-occurring clients
• Ensures to use the utmost of care in protecting confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal laws.
• Demonstrates time management skills
• Provide professional and ethical therapy to chemically dependent patients in treatment through group, individual counseling, family counseling, and education.

• Education and Certifications:

• Licensed by the State of Florida as an LPC-A, LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or higher credential (Clinical Psychologist).

• Key Success Factors:

• Practices in accordance with state Licensed Professional Counselor Code of Ethics (or the code which governs their individual licensure in the state of Florida)
• Assesses accurately at-risk factors (suicide and self-harm) and intervenes appropriately
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of all clinical services in accordance with state and policies and procedures
• Effective communication skills between client, family members, and clinical and medical team
• Advanced knowledge of substance abuse disorders
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality and upholds client rights
• Demonstrates time management skills
