Summer Camp Counselors and Camp Assistants 1.8 1.8 out of 5 stars Brooksville, FL 34601 We are seeking enthusiastic Camp Counselors and Assistants to join our team for an exciting summer camp program. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate psycho-educational groups such as social skills, decision making skills, anger management, behavior management, substance abuse, Consent, Life Skills, and communication skills.
• Encourage clients to express their feelings and develop insight into themselves and their lives.
• Be willing to work with individuals, families, children, teens, and people from all walks of life.
• Implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
• Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems.
• Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment as required by HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports, including client logs, progress notes, HIPAA compliance documents, etc. per client need and funding requirements.
• Writing skills and access to a computer is a must.
• Act as client advocates in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.

Skills/Abilities Required:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Counseling or a related field.
